Launched in May of 2000 by Ken Thompson, a former President of the World Boxing Hall of Fame, Thompson Boxing Promotions was established with the purpose of elevating the sport of boxing by providing exciting sports entertainment while showcasing talented athletes on their way to the summit of the sport.

In the past eight years, the company has risen from being not only one of the top promotional firms in the competitive west coast market, consistently providing shows that live up to the adage ‘never a dull moment’, but to a nationwide powerhouse that includes on its roster some of the best talent in the game today, including Timothy Ray Bradley, Josesito Lopez, Juan Carlos Burgos, Sergio Espinoza, Pavel Miranda, Yonnhy Perez, Dominic Salcido.

To build these stellar talents,Thompson Boxing Promotions has established its ‘Path to Glory’ series in Southern California, and thanks to matchmaker Alex Camponovo, these shows have become ‘must-see’ events for aficionados of the sweet science, as well as for  casual fans who just want to get value for their entertainment dollar while watching competitive bouts from start to finish.

But Thompson Boxing Promotions is not about to rest on their laurels, and in early 2008 the company announced that Fox Sports Espanol has acquired the rights to air all 2008 TBP events, bringing this series of high-impact shows to viewers in Canada, the Caribbean, and in North, Central and South America.

Thompson Boxing Promotions makes its home in Orange County, California where they proudly present their yearly charitable boxing dinner in which the proceeds are donated to deserving boxing gyms.
